Never to late mate. You'll do just fine, especially if you like the theory behind it. I started and and finished my college a few years back with no site experience at all. I used to be a qualified chef for 16y prior to that.
Sorry mate, been a long day......hehe hehe
I was worring for nothing.... I just answer the question myself....in case of a fault/ overload the MCB will turn the circuit off....
Hey Andy.
I am on my last leg of the NVQ ( aprenticeship) mate. (An RCD only disconnects the supply in the event of an earth leakage.) I need some advice . because the cable is protected by a 40 A MCBO at the origin of the installation
Hello everyone.
I need some advice. I am wiring a shed (more like a room then a shed). I am wiring it in 6mm swa clipEd direct outdoor. The distance between the C.U is approx. 30m. I am protecting the cable with a 40A , 30ms disconection RCBO in the C.U. At the other end of the cable, the...
hahaha, is this the assignment for 305?. I am sure that you can come up with at least a couple of examples for each cable. Think logicaly of each external influence...
I will have a go at it....I started this topic to learn some things, after all
The PEFC is determined by the low resistance of earth and the parallel path to earth of the consumer side ( I am thinking of bonding connection as the test is taken with the installation energised and earthing and...
Thanx everyone for your answers.
yes, sorry, for domestic installations is less probable for the PFC value to exceed 6kA. apart from big cities where fault current (Ipf) might be higher.
Also earthing system and location of the installation, determines the value of PFC.
