    earth bonding to water

of course he does. they remove the bad ones. can't have their paying members looking bad now can they

    earth bonding to water

under floor is not likely to be extraneous. did your electrician actually test to see if it was? since its unlikely it is

    earth bonding to water

unless the copper pipes go underground / outside the property then they are not extraneous so as above, it doesn't need bonded. time to get a new electrician who isn't either incompetent or trying to create work

Will a new metal CU be mandatory or advisory

don't stick your finger in the gap otherwise someone else will be getting the house

Will a new metal CU be mandatory or advisory

well that's a bit crappy. missing blanks. RCBO on the RCD side. everything on one RCD so a single fault will take out everything
  7. Andy™

Will a new metal CU be mandatory or advisory

you can get RCBO's for that board

Will a new metal CU be mandatory or advisory

no need to change it just because its plastic. may need changed if the new circutis can't be fitted, either no MCB's or RCBO's available etc, although that would apply to any consumer unit plastic or metal

    Electric test fail.

part p is a ******. only covers domestic in england & wales. england & wales also have different requirements. only certain work is notifiable. ask 3 different LABC questions and you'll get 3 different answers. EICRs are not covered by it. and if you follow 'approved document P' then you should...

    Electric test fail.

probably taken all details for EICR but going to do remedials first then issue satisfactory report. you can ask for the report as is unsatisfactory (since you have paid for an EICR...) and then MWC / EIC for the remedials, although some letting agents will still want a satisfactory EICR instead...

    Electric test fail.

eddy currents. basically how transformers work. same thing happening to the metal consumer unit. it can cause the steel to heat up. in reality, for domestic use, its not really an issue. as for changing MCB, cables must be suitably protected. swapping the MCB instead of finding the fault is...

    Electric test fail.

so basically admitting if he was quiet he would be requesting unnecessary work if tails are 25 then this is just creating work. open ring should be finding fault instead of just changing breaker. fault is still there, and loose connections (which it may be) could still over heat and cause a...

    Non-Notifiable work

no it doesn't. you've paid VAT on materials, fuel etc so customer is paying VAT, just indirectly. VAT registered will be more, but not 20% more
