Yeah, he did say to be fair that this was a temporary measure. Though I expected it to last longer than 3 weeks.....
To fix securely is the only option to bolt straight through?
I wonder if it was too much stress for the arms, or just too much stress for the temporary way the arms were attached to the gates (coach screws as above).
I mean something must be badly wrong here for the screws heads to have been sheered off, right?
Hi all,
Having a bad time with our automated gates today.
We had automated iron gates already but about 3 weeks ago decided to add a bit of privacy and swapped the iron gates for closed board timber ones, but kept the automation as it's been fine for us the past few years we've lived here...
No idea why it's been mounted horizontally. I've also confirmed with RISCO that the tamper alarm should've worked.
I have not paid the invoice yet, is it faux pas of me to insist they make this nicer ahead of me paying? Again, I do feel a little conscious that I should've noticed this on the...
Hi,
After reading a bunch of great reviews, I had a LightSys 2 burglar alarm system fitted over the weekend. I probably should've checked this sooner, though I went to the panel and wanted to open it up to check to see if the main unit 'tamper' alarm would go off (as it used to on my much...
But I never asked you to do any work. You asked me to show some pictures. I did. But again, this thread was to get info on the technical side of gate opening operations, not for the work to be judged yet.
thanks for all your inputs though, I genuinely am glad you have a keener eye than me for...
Anyway, back on subject, I wanted to use this thread to help anyone who installs the Nice toona swing gate, and needs the gates to open to their maximum opening angle.
Below is the picture I took (apologies it's a little bit distant, but hopefully the resolution is high enough) from when the...
It is being used in manual mode until the safety edges are installed properly. The manual release's are being lifted each morning and being used manually until they return to finish the job. The installer insisted on that, though I didn't necessarily agree. His call, not mine.
I think you've...
Respectfully, the first thing I usually notice when I won't be needing a tradesman's services, is when they almost inevitably start slagging off some of the work done previous. Its like the "professional" equivalent of a load of women bitching about someones dress sense.... :)
back on point...
cheers, really happy with it. Loving the fact I can call the intercom from my phone and have them open....such a nice touch.
Safety edges coming at a later date, as well as a mag lock and a central stop.
Photocells are mounted on the other sides of the iron gates.
Hi all,
I've got a RISCO Secuplace alarm that was here when I purchased the property. I've noticed that some of the PIR detectors were not triggering the alarm. Once I connected the ELAS app to the Secuplace, I noticed in the event history, some of the problem PIR detectors were showing as...
Certainly - reading Nice's website, they say 120 degrees max. I'm not sure what they're opening too now. But I dont think it's 120. More like 100 (just from eyeballing)
pics to follow.
