Need help with an Ultrasonic Cleaner - Not working

Today i had a conversation with a guy who knows a thing or two about these ultrasonic cleaners and circuits. Apparently due to the minor differences in glue/sensors/cable length and whatever else the system needs fine tuning to give the correct current to the 4 sensors. This guy reckons that...

Need help with an Ultrasonic Cleaner - Not working

What “exact” procedure for removal of the old and fitting of the new did you undertake? Old fittings/sensors been pulled out and scrapped. They were glued together with epoxy. The sensors were cracked and damaged. I made 4 new fittings/sensors glued together same as the original ones What...

Need help with an Ultrasonic Cleaner - Not working

thanks Spoon, it's WE ultrasonic cleaner, i have attached couple of pictures of the PCB and the 4 sensors. I had a good look on the PCB and nothing seems to be burnt or damaged. It powers up and it's does make the usual ultrasonic cleaner sound/noise but it don't seem to be doing any cleaning...

Need help with an Ultrasonic Cleaner - Not working

Hello, few weeks ago i bought an ultrasonic cleaner from a local guy with the hope to use it to clean motorbike parts. Initially when i plugged it in although it seemed to be working my parts were coming out of it in the same condition. I took the bottom cover off it and i noticed that this...

    Variable Speed Motor

this is for a diy job. As it stands i operate the conveyor my self with a manual lever, nothing fancy other than a lever, a chain and two sprockets and i am looking to automate it. Years ago i used to have a motor in the garage that has a manual lever sticking out from the back and it had 3...

    Variable Speed Motor

3m long conveyor 20kg of load when full 20rpm no need to position no need to have brakes It needs to be single phase (no access to 3 phase), as small as possible, simple and cheap design without many electronics.

    Variable Speed Motor

any single phase AC motor with any inverter will do the job?

    Variable Speed Motor

Thanks for the replies chaps, I will use the motor on a belt conveyor which at the moment it’s operated by a manual lever and chain mechanism, around 20rpm manually. i am looking to automate it with the option to run it a bit faster or slower as necessary. i can’t see me needing much of...

    Variable Speed Motor

I need some help to find out what i need to buy to end up with a single phase motor that i can adjust its speed from 0 to max 1485rpm. Budget is tight so i am looking to buy a used motor to keep the costs down. Size of the motor won’t be more than 1kW. I had a look online and there are lots of...

    Oven tripping mains supply

What sort of resistance readings should i get from ''healthy'' elements?

    Oven tripping mains supply

been switched on for nearly one hour on all 4 elements, full temperature, no issues. Whilst the oven is out the cupboard, any other tests i need to do or are we confident with it?

    Oven tripping mains supply

this is what i tested, the actual elements at the back of the oven, no power, no cables going to them and i got anything between 30 and 60ohms, I also checked the resistance from LN to earth and I got couple of them a bit more than 1 Mohms and the other two 18Mohms.

    Oven tripping mains supply

i have another fluke that does insulation but i thought i won't need it for this job, i left it at work. What is the worst case scenario to test the oven to? Both ovens on, full temp, all 4 elements on, 1 hour?

    Oven tripping mains supply

Picture of the multimeter I used :) The elements warmed up and i left both ovens running at full blast for a while. I will check it again later on. If it was his rcd, what was causing the rcd to trip? Just out of curiocity

    Oven tripping mains supply

tested all 4 elements resistance (L to N and LN to ground) with a fluke and all 4 tested ok (L to N between 30 and 60ohms), no surprises there. I connected the mains cable on the new oven and gave it a go, left both ovens running on full heat for 15 minutes and again no issues. I will let the...
