BG units worth a look, fitted a few recently and pretty sure the 8 way would fit in the dimensions quoted, also their RCBO's are only the size of an MCB and quite nice boards to fit. Have you considered talking the customer into getting a bigger cupboard?
BMC, British Motor Company, later to become BL British Leyland, Then Austin morris, jaguar rover triumph, then Austin morris, then Rover now all down the swanee
absolutely no way would I do it. Its a special location so its notifiable. Needs to be inspected at every stage of the job so might as well be done by a proper spark.
people have been killed from these kind of mishaps. Most common was instead of using 3 core and earth for a boiler feed so you can have perm L and switched, someone decided to use twin &e and use the E for a L feed. Somewhere along the cable it got cut and bonded to the sink. Someone was killed.
As John says, the higher the figure, the closer to a unity (ie voltage and current in phase) you get and the greater efficiency. Power in an AC circuit is VIs cos (havent got a symbol for 'fie' the greek symbol for it but the cos is the phase angle and the amount the current is lagging the voltage.
if in doubt turn off the garage unit and then try turning the switches next to the T buttons in the main unit off and on again. Sounds like one of the 2 RCDs has tripped and if the fault remains it will not reset
if you pressed the T button and its not doing anything then I suggest you flip the switch next to it to the up position which will re set it. Then establish why its tripped (dodgy grinder?)
