Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

Cheers John. Ah, no, is that to heat the water using off peak cheap rates? Rightly or wrongly I've convinced myself that as we're high use peak time that tracker is the best tariff for us so don't have that opportunity. I'm planning to still use my gas to heat the water, I guess at the end...

Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

Hold up, I think I realised what I'd done!....I only have one CT clamp (connected to the live between the smart meter and the consumer unit, changed back to arrow pointing to the consumer unit), which is connected to the Harvi. In the Eddi I had set the Harvi CT to "Generation only" whereas I...

Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

@Murdoch. Thanks. The Octopus IHD seems to be showing a good amount of excess at times (1-1.5kw). Apologies to be slow, I understand you're asking if the wires for the CT clamp are going into the CT1 or CT2 ports of the Harvi? CT1. If that isn't what you're asking please can you humour me...

Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

I re-paired the Harvi as had seen someone say something about that resolving their issue. The CT goes into CT1 in the harvi so per the instructions manual i've ensured that CT1 is set to "generation only" in the Eddi's settings. I just thought throwing myself at this forum's mercy may be...

Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

Have done, the CT clamp is still between the consumer unit and the smart meter, still on live wire but now the arrow is pointing to the smart meter per the photo. The eddi appears to still think i'm exporting to the panels!:

Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

Thanks @binky, will do. I was very determinded to get the clamp on the Live with the arrow pointing to the consumer unit but hey, worth a shot....

Eddi - just installed and a little stuck

On other threads advice led me to the Eddi solar diverter which I love. I've now installed it which was very straight forward but it doesn't appear to be doing what I expected. I thought if I popped a photo of the Eddi's screen someone with more experience may immediately know what the issue...

    Solar diverter, which one?

I had a play with Octo-aid and the export data was blank so I anticipate that means Octopus API data only captures export volume if you are signed up to export under SEG. I'm guessing that means the mini while useful won't give me that data either. Still a hope that the Eddi (once operational)...

    Solar diverter, which one?

Have done re: the mini (to be fair, did it as soon as you said it doesn't impact the IHD - no brainer!) Will do re: octo-aid. I'm not cool enough to have a apple so will sneak on my wife's :)

    Solar diverter, which one?

Thanks, really appreciated and thanks for thinking to mention it as even if I'd have come across it on my own I'd have dismissed it thinking it was one or t'other, not both. Thinking about it now, I think the option the engineer gave me was to have the live view on the IHD or on the app...

    Solar diverter, which one?

John, as ever, stunning input thank you. Yes, Octopus. We have the IHD but it's one failing (so far) is it doesn't give me total exports. I tried finding the data in the API but i'm not very savvy! Could you tell me: 1. if the Octopus mini gives period reporting of export pls? (like week...

    Solar diverter, which one?

Eddi and Harvi ordered, electrical2go (sorry if that breaks another rule re: promotion) seem cheapest by a few pounds and appear to have shipped it in minutes! Thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate it. Being on FIT with a PowerUno inverter that has no reporting that I have ever been...

    Solar diverter, which one?

Brill thanks and apologies for thread hijacking, won't be doing that again! :) So as I read it I need a harvi as well if I don't want to have to run the wire down to the tail of the electrical supply. Not far away but far enough for me to drill thro something important!!! Am I right that the...

    Solar diverter, which one?

Thanks @Murdoch . Yeah, that's convinced me as it needs to survive long enough to reach a payback! Wonder why there's even cost to repair if they have a 10yr warranty but life's too short to find out! :)

    Solar diverter, which one?

I'm going to piggie back this thread rather than make a new post. Please do NOT hi-jack posts, (As others have said it causes problems / confusion) :( I have just split this one. I'm after a solar diverter having dismissed the payback on extra solar (as I am on FIT) or a battery (not enough...
