Have you installed a flush Fusebox before?

I need to replace a flush mount Crabtree Loadstar board with another consumer unit, ideally flush mount and with SPD and RCBO combination.

Has anyone tried using this before?
I'm trying to figure out how it would secure the consumer unit in place?! As far as I know the Fusebox CU doesn't have side holes for securing in place, and I cannot get fixings in the rear as it'd go through into a bedroom so side fixings are the only way.

Any thoughts/experience with these?

Yes,,, I have (before they made a flush mounting kit),,, this is in a garage conversion and I managed to get them to put the stud work in to accommodate it, and cut elongated slots in the sides so that I could adjust the depth

You could have trimmed those grey and yellow ferrules along with folding the cpcs and ensure they are flush with the termination bars, attention to detail doesn't cost much.

Surely your answer should have been yes I have or no I haven't fitted a flush CU?

Why do so many members post replies that have NO relevance to the question asked by the OP??

No it’s the infamous piece by the well renowned Noz Spark, “ unfinished consumer unit in wall”

The CU in my own house is flush but that was a DIY adaptation. Standard metal Hager box set 2" deep into the timber stud wall on noggins put there to support it, and some very careful cutting of the hole in the plasterboard so it just slipped over the outer edge of the box and then the front when fitted covered the small gap (that had already been sealed with caulk anyway)

This is the issue, I think most flush mount consumer units are "made to fit" when they were first installed, so the hole in the wall will only fit the maximum size of the existing consumer unit.
The Fusebox I have bought is about 50mm wider than the original, I'm hoping they've left a bit of space on the sides, we'll see!
