Hi all,

I’m new to the forum and just wanted some advice from fellow sparkys. I just did the final exam for my level 3 electrical installation course at college. I am confident I have passed but need some advice on what route to take now.

I do not have experience in the electrical field apart from completing my level 2 and 3 electrical installation at college. I have also completed a course in 18th edition and will take the test soon. I come from a housing background and have little working experience in the field. I could not take the apprentice route due to the pay cut thus went the route of completing the courses in college.

I am applying for jobs but am finding it hard because of lack of experience I assume?

Any advice and tips on getting into the field given my situation? Has anyone taken a similar route into the world of electrical work?

Thanks in advance.

I just my City and guilds level 3 in electrical installations! I also obtained a operatives cscs card.

I am thinking of applying for labouring jobs because not having much luck getting responses from electrical mate roles.

Any advice anyone can give me? Is this a good idea as entry into the field?

Thanks
