Hi everyone,

I was wondering what basic tools I would need to start my role as a electrical mate. I see a lot of jobs state that I need to bring my own tools and or PPE Ive written a list of tools such as; screwdrivers, voltmeters, wire strippers and cutters.

  • Safety goggles, dust mask, hi vis jacket, safety boots, safety gloves, site helmet.
  • Bag, screwdrivers set, wire strippers and cutters, pliers.
Could anyone else tell me what I should have in my tool bag as a starter?

Thank you

Give it a moment and Mr K will provide a link for that kit too, although perhaps from a different corner shop!
Do you know what? I don't think I have been in there more than 5 times in the last 3-4 years! And I used to be in there twice a week at least! I've not even ordered online

Thanks for your responses, that first bit of kit is very helpful.

A sds and combi drill is something I do need aswel. Proving device noted.

Hey does anyone know if these combi drills are good ?

Nothing wrong with Bosch. I can't see from the ad, but does that include batteries and charger? (Often it doesn't)

What ever brand you go for, stick with it, that way you will always have a battery for it.
