What size trip should have been fitted?

If fitted properly they can be immersed in a puddle to a depth of 1m. However, many installers seem to lack MC4 spanners needed to do them up properly, or overtigten and cross thread them. Some factory fitted connectors aren't always great, and a favourite of any seal leaking is getting dirt on...

Bathroom fan signal live wire on a dimmer - okay or not?

I don't think he's right about that, or the fan would not work when you switch the light on. Either way it's probably looking for a 240V pulse.

And in addition to that, there was no enforcement of the plastics used to be fire retardent, as per appropriate standards

Heat source pump dryer tripping the rcd.

Ok , play nicely now, tis the season of good will to all, except stormtroopers of course 😃 I seriously doubt the op has any form of test gear to do a more effective investigation, in which case it's a valid suggestion to at least minimise the impact of nuisance tripping until they can get an...

Heat source pump dryer tripping the rcd.

Random tripping is usually a fridge or freezer, but it may be a faulty RCD, or a build up of earth leakage from various appliances, one of which is becoming faulty.

    Luminaire assistance

Any room for a transformer or does it need to be self contained? I'm thinking the led version of the old G20 cabinet lights might be suitable.

    Off grid inverter issue

Change the MCBs for RCBOs, your issue is earth leakage across shared circuits. Currently you have 30mA earth leakage max, whereas RCBOs give 30mA per circuit. It also sounds like the new inverter has higher earth leakage than the old unit. You also shouldn't be sharing RCDs with solar inverters...

    Induction cooker installation

I'm intrigued by the tape on the main fuse. I think you need to contact your local DNO to report a potentially dangerous fuse carrier - it won't cost you anything to do so, or any repairs.

    Faulty Electric shower

I have a Triton remote shower unit, it was significantly cheeper than the Mira version at £500ish, it's been fine for 8 years, but generally I fit Mira and nothing else.

How are BG light switches perceived among electricians?

I would say Crabtree is the choice for many schools I've worked in.

Eicr copper showing as it enters pendant comnection

Causing a rucus here too😀. No one should be accessing a light fitting who isn't competent, and safe isolation is a major part of our yearly assessments. You need tools to open a light fitting, so have a look about compliance of such things in BS7671, but ponder the consumer unit, lots of nasty...

P.V panels tripping house DC circuit breaker

Sounds more like a possible fault with the inverter. Nothing from the panels should get to the AC side. Your solar shouldn't be sharing a RCD with any other circuit either. It's also possible it's nothing to do with the solar, and a.n.other appliance is faulty.
