    19th Edition

considering most amendments are ****** correction corrections, that 3 and new edition rule should be scrapped

Electric Shock - Never should happen, or occupational hazard?

don't touch any wiring that you haven't tested and proven dead. lock out supplies etc. do the job properly and you shouldn't be getting any shocks

    Electric test fail.

surely a socket on each end and a short length of flex with 2x plugs would have been easier?

    Electric test fail.

its unusual to have all 3 open circuit. single fault would only affect one of them. 3 individual faults, one on each its not so common. most likely someone's changed a socket or something and left half them out. or there's been a fault and a section of cable has been intentially disconnected...

    What could go wrong...

chances are the heaters are 2kw (or less) panel heaters. so under 10a. so nothing to code. RCD codes are correct. good luckwith RCBO's for that board, probably going to be easier to change it. light questionable depending on height. surprised they didn't give a C1 for the board not being...

    Sparking emersion heating switch

normal-ish. you'll always get a spark when making / breaking a load like that but its not usually that visible. if you get any burning / fishy smell then its time to change it

    Extraneous bonding

if it goes into the ground then its almost always extraneous. so much so that it can be used as an earth electrode

18th Edition Amd3 DPC For Info

told them that its a C3 at worst. they want a quote to change to type A though. its a school and they've now got a report saying its unsatisfactory. so they need to 'fix' it to get it compliant. and it being a school, certain other companies come in and think they can get away with trying to...

18th Edition Amd3 DPC For Info

looked at a job yesterday - EICR by another company has C2 for type AC RCBO's and require type A. installation is probably 4-5 year old

Electric Radiators... are there any independent reviews!

split units are better just not always the most practical. single unit is better as a DIY job. depending on layout & where its going, having 2 large holes through the wall may not be an issue. or there may not be space for the outside unit

Electric Radiators... are there any independent reviews!

definitely, however at least with this one there is no messing around with pipework / F gases since its a complete unit
