    Qualifications Or Not!

    You need to be competent to inspect and test with a qualification to do so.  The tests have not really changed over the years, so experience with testing is very important, the changes are the paperwork.  I would not like to sign work off that may be suspect and become just a formality.

    2391 for schemes?

    Passing an exam does not mean you are competent to test and inspect.  If you have been an apprentice time served brought up with testing knowing what to look for etc then that should be good enough to inspect and test.  The changes are usually the paperwork that you need to fill out.
