Spur from cooker circuit - what to do?

One twin socket spurred off a 30 amp circuit. Not any different to taking a spur off a ring main when you think about it. Unless there is some other factor that we can't see. As said above, note it, but don't worry about it. Worst case scenario the fuse blows on Christmas day cooking dinner and...

A lighting circuit is a final circuit.

    C2. Potentially Dangerous.

Class 1 or class 2 fitting? Earthed if class 1? Max zs and disconnection times met? If test results OK then C3 as a note for no rcd

    C2. Potentially Dangerous.

The light does not have supplementary bonding. Its earthed via CPC or should be class 2. Zones and IP rating are other factors to consider when assessing lights in bathrooms. :)

    high r1+r2 and low IR

Is the circuit you are testing isolated from the consumer unit, or are you testing at the socket and splitting the ring there?

    INSULATION RESISTANCE

Is the neutral still disconnected? Testing line to earth with the loads ( lamps ) still connected, will give you a low reading if the neutral is not isolated.

FP200 two core used as a lighting circuit

Does pyro use its shield as an earth? Yes, it does.

FP200 two core used as a lighting circuit

Also, as long as the earth is sufficiant for the circuit, then a class 1 or 2 light fitting is fine, as long as it is suitable for its zone. ---------- Post Auto-Merged at 20:23 ---------- Previous post was made at 20:21 ---------- Yeah MIMS ( Mineral Insulated Metal Sheathed), Still Pyro tho.

FP200 two core used as a lighting circuit

FP 200 in my experience has always had an un insulated cpc, as with twin and earth. Has someone perhaps cut the cpc short and not terminated it? You can't use the shield as a cpc, although it will become earthed when the cpc is used as it is in contact with it.

This one was at the pool side, but have been in the pool for 6 hours before replacing underwater lamps. Pool not drained, and in my shorts.
