    Polarity

I may sound a bit stupid here but what do you mean mate and can this be corrected.

    Polarity

Hi Andy basically exactly the same as the fella in this video. Where he is testing continuity and at the same time flicking the switches for polarity.  His r1 +r2 was 0.12 and then 999 when he flicked the switches yet on mine my reading is staying the same.

    Polarity

Evening Fellas. I have basically set up a little test rig at home and when I get to testing the polarity on the 2 way lighting circuit nothing is happening when I switch the switches for polarity, its staying on the 0.72 I originally got on testing between the earth and line. I have checked...

    Outside light....

Right done a little drawing last night and just wondered if its defiantly correct apologies for going back to it. For an outside light.... Take feed from RFC into FCU 5AMP, then connect the live from the FCU in to common terminal of the switch and then the light live into L1 connect the earths...

    Outside light....

Apologies fellas I am getting all mixed up. So basically its spurring off the RFC in to an FCU and if it doesnt require to be switched on or off the light can be terminated in the FCU. Another silly question but I can only find 13a FCU's not 5A or 6a, is this a problem? Cheers

    Outside light....

Sorry fellas same question. May be a silly question to you all but What if you wanted a switch with the outside light? How would that work, wont the switch have a switched live again hence not a return neutral.

    Outside light....

    Thanks fellas appreciate it.

    Outside light....

So it will be just a question of spurring off the double socket in the kitchen with a 5amp FCU then drill through the wall?

    Outside light....

    Thanks Ardet

    Outside light....

Regarding an outside light.... Lets suppose you wanted to introduce an outside light,  with the light switch not having a return neutral I suppose the other way would be getting to the closest ceiling rose/junction box. Would it actually be possible to spur off the ring main into an FCU and fit...

    Politics ...eh !.

Obama certainly had a nasty habit of killing people as it was him who embraced the US drone programme, overseeing more strikes in his first year than Bush carried out during his entire presidency. A total of 563 strikes, largely by drones, targeted Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen during Obama’s two...

    Politics ...eh !.

This was great quote I see recently. While they were calling Trump a warmonger, a homophobe, and a racist, Donald Trump ended the Korean War, appointed the first gay ambassador to Germany, and got endorsed by Kanye all the same week

    What's Your Favorite Electrician Joke?

How many feminists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?  1. One to screw it in. 2. One to excoriate men for creating the need for illumination. 3. One to blame men for inventing such a faulty means of illumination. 4. One to suggest the whole "screwing" bit to be too "rape-like". 5. One to...
