    So if i did this apprenticeship i could then leave and work in commercial say? and also do i have to do the three years? as said that would make 6 years which is alot! of time. surely i can just become a mate for 12months to obtain the nvq?

    aidan. yeah thats what i was thinking of doing, seen lots of gadgets for the navara pull out tables with work benches and a vice on lol. and side opening door on the roof like the mountain rescure have, there are drawers in them. but i agree a van will be alot easier. the t5 is nice not so keen...

    just looked at the transporter that quite nice also in the sportline. but i duno if id need a van that big, maybe years down the line once im set up on my own. but i think for the first 5 years or so i could us a smaller one, not going to have that much stuff. these are all just thoughts...

    thank you for your replys all very helpful :) noz spark. i guess i thought that with the navara i could get my main tools and materials etc in the back and can get one of those long tubes (that look like torpedo launchers lol) on the roof rack for conduit etc. and i guess ladders could go up...

    thanks for the reply. not sure if ladder would fit but there always the roof rack. interesting bout people perceptions never thought bout that. i would not think twice is if a sparky pulled up in a nice pick up i would probably think "that would be handy on site" lol food for thought tho good...
