Well that wasn't too bad! Quietly confident although I may have ballsed up Q26 Think I put .4 mS for 1x30mA RCD which should've been 40mS :-( Also I put the expected results in part A whilst explaining the test and part B was expected results so just wrote them out again

I've read GN3 a couple of times and got the exam success book too. It just seems there's quite a few questions in the mocks I've seen where the answers aren't in GN3 the first 20 questions are passable but it's the ones from 21-26 that will be my downfall I think Exam booked for oct 20th so...

I've now looked at 3 mocks and ask myself, how on earth am I going to pass it !!!! No wonder the pass mark is so low. Do the exam board have for example 10 papers and issue any one from them?

    2391 exam question

Thanks canoeboy, just looked at the 6 items in 313.1 but surely if it can only be obtained from DNO then answer won't be all of those as some you'll know or be able to measure. I mean I won't have to ask the DNO about 313.1 (vi) the external impedance Ze, I can measure that
  16. bhamoggy

    2391 exam question

But the question says ONLY so wouldn't be Ze as you can measure that or type of earthing cause you'll see that

    Rule of thumb tabulated

Yeah I know 7671 doesn't include 80% values. It's only OSG that does, that's not my question is it. I want to know when to apply the 80% of 7671 values? When do I use the regs values and when do I use the tabulated 80% value
  20. bhamoggy

    Rule of thumb tabulated

Can anyone tell me when the 80% is exactly applied ? Not sure when to use the Zs in BS7671 or multiply by .8
