    Thanks. I did call several but they was only interested in commercial. None of them wanted anything to do with domestic (I suppose its the same for Uk Power Networks!)

    Wow thats really interesting!! Just to clarify, I have several options. Both in terms of the total KVA needed and the setup with the DNO. They are happy to put a kiosk at the edge of the land , which would then mean a 600m odd run to the barn. They are also happy to do it all the way to the barn...

    Thanks. I have spoken to the DNO - they suggested this route. Their quote was £40K for a 40kVa which is too much both in power and cost!. The nearest transformer is 600 odd meters away, and its only a 16KvA transformer feeding an existing customer. They have told me they will need to upgrade...
