Electrical Instalation condition report codes details

But an EICR is not just for the customer? It is for many other legal purposes and that is why BOTH are essential, not just advised. (and I for one don't plan to be 'rank' :))

Electrical Instalation condition report codes details

As has been said to a degree: In my opinion (professional) It requires both (no one more than the other), As it is a document that can be used in conjunction with legal requirements it needs the specifics (coding), but I totally agree also that one needs a customer/recipient to understand, so...

Maybe a contactless voltage detector would be a better gift, try a fluke LVD2, it's not for finding buried cables but it's relatively accurate at telling you if a cable is live, but again, this is not a guatentee of safety or accuracy, you'll need to be qualified and time served to improve that.

Electrical live wire tracer (wall scanner)

Trades don't commonly use these. As their accuracy is based on too many unknowns. Any properly branded one will suffice as a gift, try Bosch, but I don't guatentee the recipients success!

    house tripping

Sounds bad from both a tenant and functional perspective, give the landlord notice to fix the issue, then if he/she does not, take it to your local council/citizens advice for how to proceed. This kind of issue is not one that can be easily rectified as site unseen, that is likely why no one...

    Is this reasonable?

Ok, this is one big mess, you a)need a quote up front like someone else has already said, b) you will need certification (not open for discussion) AND you MAY need part p registration for a new circuit depending on domestic or commercial usage (this is on you, don't pass it on to your mate, you...
