    am2 fault finding

New Am2 has no broken accessories if the lamp is broken that is not the fault, just a sad coincidence. Bare in mind the only faults they can put on are those they can switch in and out of the circuit. I had two on heating system. Read the fault discription and think about what may cause the...

    Cordless lighting

Matty, I agree, head torch the way to go. It points the way you're looking - ideal when rutting about in lofts and the like. Easier than having to carry a torch and all your gear too. I

    interior designer/architects markup

Wifes cousin just had a builder in for some alterations in the kitchen. They'd asked me to do the wiring, which i said i'd do and notify the hard way to LABC as not a scam member. I thought all agreed and just waiting for the call. Heard from a family member, builders in and electrician...

    Roc roses and Emergency lights...

Had further words with my colleague today, and he said "DO WHAT YOU WANT!" Spoke to manager today, he'd forgotten its a central battery system and saw my point straight away. He is sending the guy who plans the works in the next couple of days. That'll be fine as plenty of other work to be...

    Water feature supply

thanks steps, put me in a very uncomfortable position, didn't want to take no for an answer. Very funny that he didn't want "qualified" lad to do it as "seen his work". Liked mine better. Made my day, but still no!

    Water feature supply

:) never looked at it like that before. Worth a thought. I Turned down a job the other day in a school, 3m of dado trunking. They'd asked our company to quote, then asked me to do it cheaper. I've been working there for best part of 9 months, so they had my number. Just seems wrong to bite...

    Roc roses and Emergency lights...

Thanks very much, At least I feel that I'm not stupid. We've done a fair few self contained emls on roc roses wired in LSF 2/3core&cpc. I have no problem with that arrangement, as lets face it, they glow on the floor with no wires attached. Just this system relies on an electrically...

    Water feature supply

No manufacturer for the one she wants to keep as ex display/no stock. Good thinking, I'll have a word with the garden centre at the weekend to see if they can help. I'll mention that they need to learn how to wire a plug too (L/N reversed) The one that went back faulty was a different...

    Roc roses and Emergency lights...

Thanks sidey, and yes steps i think that was the reason. Personally I have no problem saying i don't know. I know fusing a neutral is a no-no, but wasn't sure about 50vdc systems. I don't have any of the BS's, as yes, employed by a company. I'm still an apprentice (waiting for parerwork...

    Water feature supply

Hi, Mother-out-law just bought a Ex-displaywater feature with numerous blue LED's. Supposed to be fully working, but, no supply for the LED's. It looks like the original pump has given up and been replaced with a small pond pump. The wires to the LED's have been cut off. She doesn't want to...

    Roc roses and Emergency lights...

Hi peeps, Had a discussion (heated) at work today. We are doing a refurb on a building, builders moving walls etc, which necessitates moving some emergency lights and adding some extras. The existing system is 50v central battery system wired in white pyro. My colleagues plan is to break...
