Is it worth moving to Octopus Intelligent Go or another tariff?

You either have to have a compatable wallbox eg Zappi or Ohme (there is another one but I cant remember the make) or a compatible EV, it's big list of EV's and growing every week. We have one EV that is compatible and one that isnt (BMW i3 and MG5). Our wallbox became compatible a month ago...

Is it worth moving to Octopus Intelligent Go or another tariff?

Octopus GO is the one not the confusingly named Octopus GO Intelligent. https://octopus.energy/smart/go/ EV's really do cut the cost of motoring if you can charge at home and the performance is staggering even on the mundane ones. Octopus GO is an EV tariff but they dont require proof...

Is it worth moving to Octopus Intelligent Go or another tariff?

Octopus Go is another EV tariff but they dont check if you have an EV, a little more expensive than intelligent but still low priced at 9.5p. People I know that have gone onto GO with no EV have just said theyve got one on order or getting one as a company car etc. Of course, you could get...

Best installation option for Solar Array

Could you 10 panels on the West facing roof? I had a similar option between east and west on my install, the system designer said that West was better because it gave generation into the evening when youre likely to be at home watching TV etc. It was preferred over the East facing roof because...

    Growatt SPA EPS wiring

Either you fit a 13amp socket to the EPS output and plug in to there what you to run or you have to have a changeover switch on the incoming supply. The changeover switch can be manual or auto and will feed the whole house via your consumer unit, you do however need to be careful with the loads...

    Funny signs thread 🤣

This was found in the steelworks inside a German control panel. It was only after a couple of looks we realised it was a joke.

    Heat resistance behind a cooker

I was taken a back a little in his response to Murdoch's thought provoking question which is the sort of question I would have asked an apprentice etc, to encourage them to think the problem through. The OP's response was very brusque and not warranted, he was only trying to help.

You'll be telling me next that the earth isnt flat :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: But answer me this: Why is there only one monopolies commission? How do they get Teflon to stick to frying pans? Has anyone been to a deserted place?

Victron setup - wiring the AC

Correct I installed a 2nd Consumer unit to supply my essential items and I have added an automatic changeover switch that changes the consumer unit supply to the EVS outputs in the event of a grid failure.

Victron setup - wiring the AC

It depends on how you intend to operate the inverter. The way you suggest would mean that all of the house supply goes through the inverter, the Multiplus does have the circuitry to do this. I run mine as a grid tied inverter, to do this you only need to connect AC In, the Multiplus can then...
