Either you fit a 13amp socket to the EPS output and plug in to there what you to run or you have to have a changeover switch on the incoming supply. The changeover switch can be manual or auto and will feed the whole house via your consumer unit, you do however need to be careful with the loads...

Correct I installed a 2nd Consumer unit to supply my essential items and I have added an automatic changeover switch that changes the consumer unit supply to the EVS outputs in the event of a grid failure.
