    Thanks all for your input, just confirmed what I thought. I've told him and he came back with more links to the same things just differently branded. He's gone away looking again, he's wanting to monitor the power usage of the circuits remotely ( America), I've suggested plug in type devices!

    Where do the grey tails on the right go to? Consumer unit? Looks like th E7 isn't connected and terminated in fuse holder.

    Just to add to what I've found in the settings the default charge is 50A, the recommended charge rate of the battery is 50A but can be 75A , so if set to 68A I would get fully charged batteries, am I going to do any damage though in your opinion?

    I often find the main JB on the landing for downstairs lights and loft for upstairs when I had to search for them. Are the lives looped at switches or have you only got 1 x L and 1 x SL? If looped then the N normally looped though roses and not via a JB. Also worth asking some questions like...

    The buzz is normal then, usually more noticeable when dimmed down. All the earth need to be connected together, probably easier taking fly lead from the choc block to the earth terminal of the the switch.

    Have you got leds or normal lamps? Also, if it's a metal face plate it needs earthing.
