    look very closely. there usually a coloured string in there if there isn't then unless its a ES holder then its not going to matter. if its ES then you'll have to test which is which

    heights can be ignored if its for a specific use. or in this case you can't put it within the recommended heights you don't have a safe zone back to the other socket though so your cable will need protection, either steel plate or steel conduit etc

    also be aware many contain asbestos linings. not much risk removing outer cover, but definitely is if you remove inner cover to change elements

    check your supply voltage. check all contacts etc. bad connection and you'll get similar to running without a phase try turning the motor manually. see if there is anything jamming it from turning. bearings etc either on the motor or whatever its connected to

    well you've got the blown fuse... why don't you try looking at what it is instead of asking randoms on the internet you could always try a BS1202-2 fuse

    it probably did but its easier for them to just wait until it does fail rather than send people out to replace batteries that might last a few month longer
