    The fact the supply is in conduit with the conduit as the apparent protective conductor leads me to think they are coming from somewhere within that building and not a direct DNO supply.

    The supply to that cutout is probably original and I suspect that is what they want to replace.

    I think they mean by every circuit being parallel is that the R1 and R2 for any individual circuit is parallel within that circuit.

    So he replaced the consumer unit but the installation had no effective earth? If you have paid you are entitled to the certification which would also include Part P notification. Were they a scheme member such as NAPIT or NICEIC?

    Just been looking online and some say 32A/13A dedicated supply but not sure what that means. Is the size of cable written on the sheath of the cable?

    No you can't use a 13A plug it has a maximum circuit capacity of 25A.

    In the first pic have you mixed the blacks up? The black in the 1 Way terminal should be the one which shares the same cable as the red presuming that is the switch cable.
