Yes Part P Yes electrician provides an Electrical Installation Certificate And yes they should give you an invoice too. Make sure they stipulate that they will provide these or do not use them

Could simply be a case of accumulated earth leakage I would recommend you keep a note of each time it trips, and what you were doing and see if you spot a pattern

Oer, really tricky question BUT lots that are CPS members don’t seem to follow the regs and issue certs. You’ll be lucky to get anything other than the part p around here. As for kitchen fitters, bathroom fitters, and Odd job men - as there is no consequences for them not following the regs...

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with 3 x 2.5 mm cable in sockets - it’s the norm. Best avoid any joints that are not accessible IMHO
