To bond or not to bond, that is the question

Let me paint a picture.... An industrial estate with 10 - 15 small units of similar construction. Single storey, brick and block build with trapezoidal sheet roofs that round off front and back to give a top hat effect raising the roofline higher that brick courses. Roof sheets supported by...

XFP 507 UDL package - What am I missing here

It's a new panel mate. Never realised you was close by. The gaffer bought the 'kit' before I discovered the scam behind it.... :innocent I now have it in my possession. Doubt it can be sent back either as it was ordered in. The CD isn't even a pressed unit, it's a blatant CD-RW and not the...

XFP 507 UDL package - What am I missing here

I kinda guessed it was like that. I'm assuming they mix the pins about a bit to make it seem 'specialist'. Is there chance of damaging things if you get the pins wrong? I suppose if you get the power wrong then it could cause issues. I've seen leads with lose ends so you can mix them about...

So, to setup and program XFP addressable Fire Panels you have to use laptop, physically connect and the right software. the panel manual states you need a XFP507. A quick google about brings up things like Link Now, you look at the description and it includes a lead and some software. OK, if...

    Looking for a Torque driver

Some good points here guys, thanks. I guess if I do decide to invest, The armeg would be the choice, I could always get a 2nd slotted PZ 2 blade and shave down the insulation for the tricky ones. And, IF I end up not using it, it isn't too big an investment. @kerching - That is some...

    Looking for a Torque driver

New year, new tools needed. Been thinking about getting a torque driver for a while, had a look on ISSWWW and saw the Armeg 5 piece set and thought that would be ideal. Just the right price bracket for me. Then I looked at the review on the forum...

Light switch activating extractor fan in next room

I would get some testing done at the fan whilst switching switches etc. Maybe an issue with neutral backfeeding and the fan getting confused. have you had anything done at all in the house that could disrupt the electrics? Take lamps out of kitchen and bathroom lights and see if it still does...
