    Board change help

Asked my assessor about this very situation and was told that its dangerous C2 to leave so easiest solution without fault finding or rewiring is to put the lights onto 1 circuit. No shared neutral therefore safe. Safety first has always got to be the key.

    QUIET

I'm in the trade and find this forum the best for getting answers to problems and getting advice. I personally dont tend to jump on the "am I paying too much" type of questions as most of the time you only get half the information so you can't make a reasonable call. Everything goes quiet at...

    Confused

OK so found the issue. Tested circuits all fine in regards of ir tests. Rcbo ramp test 24ma so that was fine. Issue only happens when a light anywhere is turned on so it has to be as suggested a n-e fault. Replaced rcbo as only other variable in the system. Now works fine. Examined original...

I thought induction, but there is no load on the immersion yet. It goes from board to time clock then down to 20a dp isolator all new. Isolator is off as just coiled flex waiting for plumber to do his thing. It's just weird.

    Question for the hive mind.

Final outcome. 2 thermostats one for bedrooms one for living areas. Im cutting fast fix single box behind panel, running 2.5 from each panel back to immersion cupboard. Joining 2.5 twin and earth with 20a (I call them click plug and sockets) to panel heater flex. Blank plate with side flex entry...

    Question for the hive mind.

Yeah I replaced the old consumer unit with new rcbo and put smoke detectors in but he wouldn't go for a rewire as out of the budget. It will be one or 2 new circuits for the heaters. I just don't like the look of a spur unit in the ceiling next to the panel. If it were my house I'd be like wtaf...

    Drill taps

I use M5 / M6 to tap RSJ to bond to. Have used a drill before, but you got to go very careful and slow and reverse alot and add lots of cutting lube. Always willing to provide feedback on any samples that may become available.
