    Aiko built in shade compensation

As always Binky. you are 100% correct and I would add the Sun is also getting higher in the sky. So my wall panels are still producing at peak about 80% of their Wp which I am surprised I would I though that number would decrease by now and those on the main roof NW are also getting more sun...

    Aiko built in shade compensation

I have AIKO 610W https://aikosolar.com/static/pdfjs/web/viewer.html?file=/static/download/products/N-Type_ABC_module_Aiko-A-MAH72Mw_600-620W_en.pdf&fbclid=IwAR35vbwizCIMA3Tch2oDNpXnVBJgfYuJe10kC1x3G8pY0-2CEnHPjjy_6ZA It is hard to compare as I am an end user so don't have the luxury to have...

@Swift Solutions Scotland The discussion shifted a bit. Has your question been answered? If not what else do you need?

trade prices should still be applicable for the cells and the parts to build battery. Come on, you know you want to ;)

    Solar Inverter Metering Query

I know, my bio does not say yet retired and loving it :) You are right all batteries are DC and you are referring to early stage. One of the reason I did not accept batteries in 2014 and 2016 when I got my first array installed. The tech has improved a lot and if my calculations are correct...

    Solar Inverter Metering Query

Hi Binky, not sure I can agree with you. My new system has the batteries DC coupled with the new PV Panels. There is no conversion between what the panels generate and the battery charging. This is the most efficient as you only convert the current when the house need them. The generation meter...

    Solar Inverter Metering Query

I had a generation meter installed with my new inverter (I have a 3.68kW since 2016 with Fit and has a generation meter). My installer said that installing a generation meter is still required even though no one will be asking for the reading. This said, I don't mind. I always like to have a...

My new system has now been commissioned

Yes we should have met. However, I see you joined the forum in summer 2023. I was a lot less active at that period having sorted pretty much everything at that point and finalizing the details with the installers. I see that I have been luckier with my installer. Real pro, patient, competent...

My new system has now been commissioned

My observations so far: The North West facing panels have generated 27% of my total generation so far (Total includes my 4kWp from 2016 array facing SE, the new string with panels on the wall (facing West) and 3 on a lower roof facing SE and of course the 6kWp facing NW on the main roof). I...

My new system has now been commissioned

You are now wondering what I got. I got: 16 x 610W AIKO panels (they exist in All Black but not available in the UK, shame unless I ordered a full container) 2 X 450W AIKO (those are all black because they were available and cheaper than the white one) 8 Tigo optimizers (for the panels on the...

My new system has now been commissioned

Dear all, First of all, please let me wish you all a merry Christmas and an excellent festive end-of-year celebration. I would also like to express my sincere thank you to all of you (too many to thank them all) who have been patiently answering my questions for over 18 months. I came to this...

    Hanchuess batteries

Hello, oh no!. I am supposed to get 4 of them in 3 weeks!! How come you did not get a replace battery instead of going back to your greenlinx? Are you dealing directly with Infinityinnovations? I was recently told by infinityinnovations that they provide 12 year warranty min 70% SoC and...

    Does anyone know AIKO PV

Good idea https://www.red-dot.org/project/abc-modules-63670 It does not seem to mean much at least technically speaking :( What I found about AIKO is that they manufacturer their own waffles

    Does anyone know AIKO PV

They even have a all black version https://aikosolar.com/static/pdfjs/web/viewer.html?file=/static/download/products/N-Type_ABC_module_Aiko-A-MAH72Mb_595-615W_en.pdf I did not know All Black panels were also available for 600Wp. I thought there were limited to around 400 - 430W. Happy days!

    Does anyone know AIKO PV

Hello I came across this brand Aiko who manufacture the N-type +600W and for once available such panels are available in the UK. The Jinko, DMEGC, Lingo equivalents exist but are not available in the UK Here is the datasheet...

    Max power from battery?

From the datasheet I would not say it is a 5kW continuous charge discharge. You need to take the voltage x amp and it says 80A but the voltage will vary depending on the SoC (State of Charge) so generally the battery is more a 80 * 48 = 3.8kW battery. It will surely be able to surge above that...

    Eurener panels and 200W/m² curve

my point was more about how easy it is to read the diagram. It was in big on the datasheet but also it indicates for you the highest W on the curves so you don't have to try to calculate yourself.
