    Battery performance

Hi I often hear people talking discharging to 100% their batteries without necessary understanding the implication (for instance on the warranty). While some manufacturers claim their battery can go down to 100% it is often just marketing talks because the battery will actually have about 10 to...

    Max power from battery?

I don't know that particular battery. If you have the datasheet you can read what its max discharge power is. The inverter can also be the bottleneck. Even if your battery is capable of let's say 5kW discharge power, your inverter can only handle 3.6 You seem to have a 3.68kW system as this is...

    Eurener panels and 200W/m² curve

Hi a previous discussion about the EURENER panels has been closed so I have to start a new one. First of all, when I was discussing with REST a nationwide installer, they told me that they had exclusivity to sell this Spanish brand of PV modules in the UK. I now see that they are sold a bit...

    Hanchuess batteries

Hello, I finally got a reply from Hanchu. I requested to send me their power curve for their 9.4kWh Blade battery and they said that they don't have the same type of curve and they send me this instead Locked to prevent being hi-jacked (again) Once again. this hit the limit of my knowledge...

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

You must have been told this before @Ronski You were right :) Thanks it works now

    Hanchuess batteries

One for you @johnb2713 I just came across this brand. 80% SoC for 7000 cycles and they also provide nice curves about the battery performance. I wonder what you think of it. I rarely see such curves so it is hard for me to compare. I wished all manufacturers would provide as much info. here...

More about AC coupled vs DC coupled system

yes and when you think you nailed it. you discover something new even better. Not new as it just came out, new as you just learned about it and it was available all that time but never heard of it.

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

When I click the link, it opens in a new tab and as you say, there is a login page but I cannot press back and there is no where to go back.

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

Wouah. That's impressive. Thanks for the link and info. Much appreciated. As I will not do the installation myself and I failed to find companies that would quote for a victron. I was promised one this week and it never arrived. I am going to go for a Lux 12kW (suggest to DNO approval of...

I know, that is the risk of the cloud and centralization. a real pain

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

I would expect the manufacturers to release software updates on the air, like for the car manufacturers, computers etc... Therefore, dummies like me don't have to do anything and their kits still work :)

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

What can I say John.... Anyway, if Victron does not provide Out of the box support for the various UK export tariff, it then means extra work to get it work and lower ROI...

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

Found one!! 1h away and I should get a quote next week. However, he said that to get Agile, the Victron needs to be programmed especially and if not done properly it could void the warranty....

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

Effectively, the installers I can find, well it is for marine, campers etc... but not for home... I think this brand is a brand for geeks a bit like Lunix is for computers :)

More about AC coupled vs DC coupled system

Thanks Blinky. just to be clear. Here are two design proposal. One I consider the AC coupled batteries (the one with the Lux, HanchuESS, the Enphase. The other one DC coupled (with Victron and Fogstar). Are you saying as far as the current transformation/conversion is concerned, it does not...

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

Hello Blade. You are right. I had a look at that URL in the past and I have a few listed in my area. They don't provide the same type of service. I intend to give a few phone calls and see what happens. Unlike other brands, the Victron seems to be the one for DYIer :)

For the Victron's guru out there. A few technical questions

Hello, based on some recommendations and a webinar from 2016 Victron published, I have reconsidered my project and think it is a better idea to have DC coupled batteries than AC coupled batteries ( I could be wrong again though). There are other posts talking about DC vs AC coupled system. I...

More about AC coupled vs DC coupled system

To fill the gaps left in the conversation here Here and there, especially from manufacturers I read that DC Coupled system with batteries can only be done: 1) with hybrid inverters 2) The hybrid inverters must be compatible (kind of only works with the same brand). I don't believe this. I see...

    Hanchuess batteries

See what you are saying about the density but is that not what the different technologies are about? What about HanchuESS, they use Blade Technology/Cell . Apparently, this tech allows a more compact design. The model that started this post is 9.4kWh (with a 70% SoC after 10 years) weight 72kg...
