    Testing tools required

Learn to crawl before you walk. I didn't sit my inspection and testing 2391 until after I was out of my time. So about five years of experience. If you think you can do testing with no experience you will likely damage the installation and possibly injure yourself or someone else.

Using 220V Ac appliance on 240V AC grid

It will depend upon the components in the appliance. If you are using an electric element that is rated 2000w at 220v and you increase the voltage by 10% to 242v then the output of the element will be 2200w.

Unusual circuit board. Safe or replace?

That's exactly the way I read it too. But one swallow does not a summer make. Nor 17 consume units an electrician make. Well you get the general gist of what I was going for there. I never claimed to be that erudite. 😒

Is it what you know or who you know ? Help please !

Sorry to hear that Tony  I thought you had a better handle on things. I remember one time blowing the shyte out of a motor, (I wired it in delta instead of star) I was disappointed with myself, I was told by the production manager, "the man who never made a mistake never made f*** all, now...

Unusual circuit board. Safe or replace?

The absolute arrogance of you is astounding. So you've seen 17 boards then, whoopdey do.  If you are so great at what you do I'm surprised you need to come on here for free advice, it sounds like you should have enough money to pay for a decent spark to advise you.

Looking for an "old School" bathroom panel heater.

Good for you, I see you're sorted. Sorry I haven't logged in this week. Our new panel heaters are Lot20 compliant. The window open option can be turned off. I had to do the same with the one in my office. I would have suggested a Dimplex EF12, they're specially designed for bathrooms or one...

Ten things unheard of when I grew up .

Aspergers is a sign of brilliance in males. Nicoli Tesla, Albert Einstein, Padraig Pearse, Isaac Newton, Anthony Hopkins, Guy Martin and Eamon De Valera have/had it. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/psychiatrist-says-de-valera-and-yeats-displayed-asperger-s-traits-1.1129324?mode=amp

I actually mentioned this on Lenny's forum before. They reckon there is a correlation between exposure to electromagnetic fields and depression.

Ten things unheard of when I grew up .

In fairness Murdoch's original post was aimed at people who choose not to work, not those who can't work.  Well that's the way I read it anyway.

HMV... General non-scientific straw poll as another retailer struggles..

Funny, I was thinking of them whilst reading the other comments on Curry's. They are a franchise each shop is individually owned by person who runs it. We have two semi local to me. The one we use, my parents have built up a relationship, he will always look after you. An appliance has failed 6...

    Any numismatics on here?

Yeah, it's easy to get carried away with the hysteria. However on a local level, I know I want this deal to go through. A hard border definitely will affect northern Ireland.

    Any numismatics on here?

Well if it was left to Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson you would be plunged into a depression let alone recession.
