Thanks for letting me know . I spent a lot of time at the nature reserve  . There was a beautiful eagle owl there , it was amazing.  I loved it there , there was a feeling about that place , almost spiritual. When  I lived there the quarry looked as though they had just downed tools and gone...

To be honest "Almost caused  a fire" .  Maybe a bit expensive , but prompt action maybe averted a tragedy .  Just a thought 

There was Police Officer had a bird sanctuary at the end of the causeway when I was there . It had an eerie feel about it , so did the abandoned quarry in Holyhead itself. I expect  they are long gone now.

I lived at Four Mile Bridge for awhile .  I loved Anglesey. Great people too. 

Do you hear it just in the house , or have you noticed it elsewhere too.   Tinitus does not sound the same all the time .  In my case it sounds very similar to the changing frequencies in the medical examination.  Sometimes  it is barely noticeable, others it gets your full attention. 

Same here this morning on the db meter on a multimeter in a quiet room , no clocks no tvs' or the like on standby. Only the perceivable sound of my own breathing . Mind I had a lot of years around heavy plant and have tinnitus ,  I suspect our friend may have it too.

I find it hard to believe even in the absence of instructions that there was no rating plates on your presumably new equipment.  A few simple tests would of established the load anyway if he knew what he was about or cared.

I picked a parcel up in similar circumstances for a lad on another site . It was 26 kilos to deliver to Scotland .  He got it collected from me and delivered to him next day for the price you say. :)

If you are working with them all the time yes, what about the ordinary person in a shop and the likes.

Not if just the new led  tube had failed   and the person changing it did not notice it was just one led amongst the others.   Not everyone is generous enough to change the whole bank in one go ..

I agree, the problem is that once the cover is back on and the conversion is only one of a row . a subsequent person could be forgiven for not noticing that one of the line has been changed.  We all know how it goes

I can see your point and it is valid , especially when they can be changed by uninformed people.

I remove the gear too and put an unwired cap on the dummy end , so there is only the L-N left . According to the manufactures of the tubes I fit it is wasteful of power to leave the ballasts fitted, and reduces the efficiency of the led replacement.
