25mm holes through 1m wide walls?

If it has rubble in between the two layers of sandstone, and it usually does , the hole will fill when you withdraw the bit.  You will have to devise a  way to draw through whatever you are putting in, usually by attaching it to the bit , or if need be a suitable sleeve to it.. If you don't the...

    Neutral at light switch?

If your designer has drawn the plans for the home automation system and interface connections  , there should be no problems for the electrician to follow that .   I think you are worrying over nothing , unless you do not trust the designer.

    Cutting wood for a woodburner

Lol, maybe I am a bit enthusiastic . I was brought up on farms , and we had a circular saw driven from a tractor.  We cut all sorts with it , and were aware of the dangers .  I helped out in the local sawmill with  a blade similar to you have described . We made fence posts and planks from...

    Cutting wood for a woodburner

Petrol if you are at an outside wood pile.Anyway I think leads are dangerous on gear like that.  I have never used an alligator saw , but I can tell you a chain saw is very efficient.

Any help with a laptop playing up?

It will depend on the model . The battery on my Dell cannot be seen , it is hidden away between the circuit boards.  Try you tube , you will probably find a vid on there for yours.

With the exception of the paint job, it actually looks in good condition.  That would be an old navvy even when you were there.

Any help with a laptop playing up?

I have a Dell . I have replaced the battery , it is fiddly , but not difficult.  Usually you get a bit of warning with the battery , the clock is usually reset when you fire it up.Or at least it was on mine.  A couple of quid for the battery is worth a go though.

Any help with a laptop playing up?

The fan may have failed and it has overheated . Let it cool down completely , then fire it back up.   It may tell you it has shut down due to overheating . if it does the fan may of failed or the heatsink is faulty .
