Morning TEF.
Well, it's here. As promised. The competition many of you have been waiting for.
STARLOCK BLADES!!!!
Yes, that's right, we finally have our Starlock MultiTool blades on the market and ready to go.
The blades can be seen on our web page here...
Hi Fellas, further questions for you :)
What size bolts do you use mainly for fastening strut/channel together? I'm guessing it's M10 and M12 but do you use the cone pointed bolts (which have 40mm of thread) or do you use your own? If you use your own, what's the most common thread length you...
I was an apprentice. I firmly believe that the contact of a 12" metal rule with my knuckles and the attempts to remove large chunks of flesh from the inside of my thighs by pinching made me a better engineer😧

Cheers fellas, just as I suspected.
As an aside - what's the back to back used for? Is it really just a case of the need to fasten on both sides of an upright, for example?
Hi Fellas,
Just tossing an idea around here at Armeg Towers.
I'm curious as to what sizes of Unistrut/channel are in most common usage.
In my mind 41mm is head and shoulders above the others (I'm not wrong, am I?) but how much do you use 81/83mm or 21mm?
Cheers
Phil.
Hi Neil, thanks for that.
When using in the harder brick, I assume you were using the SDS version?
Did you find they had any advantage over conventional length drill bits?
Do you think you would rather use them instead of a conventional length drill bit for the application you were doing or...
To those that received trial drill bits, first of all, thanks for taking the interest.
Secondly, has anyone got anything further to add regarding their usage? Good, bad or ugly?
Right, you lovely lot. Today is my last working day before the Christmas break (had some days left to take) so hope you all have a very peaceful and happy Christmas and New Year.
If anybody has some feedback on the sample drill bits feel free to fire it over (by DM if you like) and I'll take a...
Right, time to announce the winner. The random number generator has spoken and the winner is....
@mort2376
Congratulations. If you'd like to PM me with a full postal address I can get your prize sent out to you!
Commiserations to the rest of you but keep your eyes peeled for a Starlock...
Yeah, old lime plaster is more masonry-like and requires something a bit more durable than HSS blades. You ideally need to be looking at tungsten carbide.
Our Starlock range will be out next year
Cheers for that Sharpie, could you give me a few more details? i.e. what he was installing, into what material, what power tool, what he liked, which one he used (if he didn't use both).
PM me if you prefer so's not to clog this thread up :) (y)
