    Good morning all, I relise the changes to bs7671 regards any new install must have metal consumer unit. And you are still allowed to use existing units with spare ways. My question is if I add a new solar pv system can i still use a new plastic cu dedicated to pv system only in a domestic home...

    Just had an email from the manufacturer to confirm that the inverter I will be fitting must use a 100ma rcd.

    Fully understand and having read the bs7671 it was not really clear as stated inverter manufacturer's on some units recommend 100ma some 300ma. On the other hand ev chargers very similar must not connect to tncs system must change to tt. I get this but some chargers will not work correctly on tt...
