Will Smart meter show export electricity from excess solar panel electricity

johncooper0502, any supply company will only install a smart meter if it is beneficial to them, not to you. Smart meters work by sending the current reading (It can even send a reading every 30 minutes if they want it to.) via the cellular network, so if the cellular network map for where you...

    Quinetic Switches

joolsmy, not sure if you know, but the switch operates a receiver that has to be mounted near the light, but as Kerching points out, Quinetic make 2 ranges, they work the same, but they are NOT interchangeable. One has a remote receiver (That as I said you mount near the light) the other has...

    House purchase - old electrics

Outside lights controlled by smart switch (That way on/off times can be set) Have deep back boxes installed for the smart light switches they will also install Stair lights (Too gimmicky, pain to fix/replace/obsolete next week) Smoke alarms, insist on Aico. Connecting two power supply units for maximum output

As electricians, we design a circuit according to requirements of the load, which in turn means cable size, cable length, earthing arrangements etc, there is also testing to ensure it is safe. (There is more.) You are asking for specific advice for a piece of equipment that we hardly work on...

    I've never understood

There is a lot of "unanswered/crazy" things on all forums. The one that puzzles me most, is those that join, and NEVER post anything, but they do show as being a recent visitor. Not to mention those that ask, (Sometimes over several posts) get the answer (again, sometimes over several posts)...

Oh. Several times you have said it is a "specialised product" but then you also said So it's a flood light? why not post a picture of it, or details of supplier? Can't help you unless you are specific, which a picture or information would help no end.:)

Whos job is it to mount an electric shower

Don't forget, the customer will probably want the shower "head" mounted on a "pole" which they will probably want in the middle, so the shower itself will have to go to one side.

    QUIET

As Binky first said, forums are often quiet in the holiday season. I always look at forums as being a bit like a "social club" people can pop in have a chat and go when they please, some stay and become regulars, some do not stay and sadly some get invited to leave. Some members are more...
