    Official wire sizes?

You should complain to ebay, but if as you say the item is as the seller listed, I don't see that ebay will do anything. Let us know how it goes.

I had a mate who got addicted to drinking brake fluid, he said he could stop anytime. 😆

Creda Program 600 1998 electric cooker radiant spiral burner

If you want advice about moving its supply cable or why does your MCB trip, no problem, but as electricians we do not work on white goods, (like asking a plumber to fix a washing machine) for that you need help from those who work on white goods everyday, with that in mind I suggest you try our...

    Premier Elite 24W issue

The panel does not check the battery capacity, it does check the voltage. As the battery has now been changed, have you entered the user code and pressed "reset" Incidentally you should write the date on the battery, so that next time you will know how old it is, they should be changed every 5...

    CCTV installation

If you are asking is there a fire risk in what you propose to do, the answer is no. I would not put the CCTV cable through the same hole as any other cable, you may get electrical interference, there is also the high probability of "burning" the cable as you pull it in, or out some time later...

Gentlemen, if I have to remove any more comments I will lock the thread. (Which helps no one) Please keep it civil. Please also note, this is the DIY part of the forum, what is easy/understandable for us is not always so for the DIY person. Please bear that in mind.

Garage fire alarm with external siren

I don't agree. I checked the reviews, of the 30, 2 did not like them, 1 was because they couldn't press the silence button, and 1 who had to change the battery. There were also 2 who said they do not comply with Scottish regulations, but the seller does not say that they do comply to Scottish...

Garage fire alarm with external siren

Sorry to say, but that is of no use in this case. It's the neighbour who wants to know if the OP's garage is on fire, hence why it would be better to (keep the neighbour happy) to have two heat alarms (RF Interlinked to each other) one in the garage and one in the neighbours house.

Garage fire alarm with external siren

I am not suggesting linking to the neighbours property. The OP said (He, being the neighbour) Since that can not be done with an off the shelf smoke/heat alarm, I suggested a radio interlinked heat alarm be installed in the neighbour's house. (The neighbour keeps what ever smoke alarms he...

Garage fire alarm with external siren

Seems some misunderstandings have arisen :( I shall try again. I am saying install just two heat alarms. One in the garage One in the (Neighbours) house Each is (radio) interlinked to the other. They are not interlinked to anything else. Aico, seem to be popular. :)

Garage fire alarm with external siren

wc1966, as domestic smoke/heat alarms do not have an option to connect a remote sounder (Sounder outside the garage) you would be better off installing 2 devices, one in the garage another in the house. Each alarm can be radio interlinked with the other, so if the garage alarm sounds, so will...

    solar panels

Just my opinion, you can buy (small) kits, where you, yourself install everything (In your garden, or on a flat roof)................. There was a chap on YT showing how he did it, it was to run his "home office" Lights, mobile phone charger, computer and a few bits, and he had battery storage...
