I don't agree with having words put into my mouth, I find it unacceptable to quote a members post in a modified form.

Not nonsense in any way, no member should be able to edit another members post no matter when it is and leave the original posters name attached to it, it is wrong in so many ways, and could be construed as libel to attribute something that is not the original posters intent, or thoughts. If...

Nobody can see what was done if the edited post is spaced away from the original post, no different on many forums is not relevant, no member should be able to modify a quoted post, no matter what sort of justification they make.

IMO it's not acceptable to be able to edit other peoples posts, you did not edit it for me, but for you to make a point I did not originally make, if the edited post is spaced away from the original, no one would be able to see what was originally posted by the author or original meaning, if...

Not asking for the thread to be closed, just not being miss-quoted with my name on the post, don't think that is unreasonable.

Please make your point without quoting me. Moderators please remove post No 27, it has my name on it and is not one of my posts.

Continual change is also the source of innovation and improvements without change we stagnate.

In a previous life I sat on the NVQ review committee at the CIC, every one was represented except the actual workforce, those at the coal face doing the work.

All of these non statutory guides are produced with many consultations by all types of users, it can be a nightmare to coordinate the final version to everyones satisfaction.

    Wiring an internal light fitting

The lights are held into the ceiling with spring clips, you can see then in your photograph on either side of the light fitting, be careful when you pull the fitting down the spring clips are powerful enough to give your fingers a nasty rap when they spring out of the hole in the ceiling.

I'm looking for the best battery rechargable for pulling 1300watts

I remember back in the 60's when the Architect Journal publish an article about thermal storage of solar heat in cables buried in the foundations of a building, wonder what happened to that technology?

Contact A123 systems in the USA, they are the originator of the LiFi battery.

    Backwards step?

Battery powered from electricity produced from wind/wave or sun, and then give a description of the losses between source and battery, it's misleading to say 100% renewable about anything, to most consumers it sounds like an efficiency statement, the product used to produce the electricity has...

    Backwards step?

No the definition is not correct, the renewable energy is at the source, immediately it enters or drives something it is no longer 100% renewable energy.

    Backwards step?

Back on track. Often heard "My electric car runs on 100% renewable energy" the owner does not understand the concept, the power they charge their car with in not renewable, its used up in the same way as fossil fuels. I wonder how long it will be before the Government do a Gordon Brown on...

    Backwards step?

Can someone explain how you can get 100% renewable energy this simple Physics grad can't grasp the concept, the physical panels or turbines have to be manufactured and use resources from somewhere and that should be taken into account on the energy equation. The miss use of the concept of 100%...

So will the ICE be banned or not?

The revenue lost by the eventual reduction in fossil fuel sales with have to come from somewhere, watch for car tax to be introduced for EV vehicles, and more toll roads/congestion charging for your local village. 🥴 Posted before I read King Arthurs post above.
