Update: It’s stopped clicking/tripping. Charging is working as normal. Only thing that’s changed is the weather, it was below freezing for last few days, now it’s warmer. Could that have anything to do with it?

Good to hear it’s not just me! I have a 6.5kw battery system - you can see it powers the house from 9pm onwards and I export from it at the end of the day, then charge it up overnight (not on chart).

Thanks for the input David, good to get reassurance that it's probably just overreporting. Might do a check vs my actual meter readings and feed back. Cheers, Tom

Sorry, I meant the one that’s 15p/kWh - you can’t have this with Intelligent. Scottish Power is 12p/kWh.

I would do Octopus, but I ran the maths and we’re better off sticking with Intelligent Octopus (29p/7.5p) and using SP export than we are moving to Octopus export tariff. You can’t have Intelligent tariff and export with octopus. Very frustrating.

The installer also believes it is a CT issue, and they are visiting next Friday to assess. I'll update after the visit. FYI I've signed up for Scottish Powers SEG tarriff at 12p/kWh, so at least I'm getting something for the export.

If the consumption was correct, but it's not! At the point of that screenshot, only the fridge/freezer and a few standby items were on. Should be <200W. Not >3kW. Smart meter was saying it was exporting nearly 3kW.

Swapped the CT direction round, put the discharge stop back to 10%, and it's still being silly, thinking the house is using more than the solar can generate.

Are the connections reversed at the inverter end? How would I tell that? Also, just realised I uploaded a very blurry and useless image!

That would make sense, but this picture shows when I open it, this is the way round it is assembled (see arrow points away from meter). It’s clipped onto the furthest right live grey wire (brown cap).

I've had to set my load-first discharge to 90%, to stop it needlessly discharging the battery today. It'll be interesting to see what it does when I turn it back to 5% when the sun goes down later. I say interesting, I think I'm losing my mind here! I have the installers getting back to me on...

Another weird one this morning, the system thinks we need energy from battery and solar. But it’s exporting almost all of it. House isn’t using anywhere near that amount.

Yeh potentially, I’ll have to get the installers out to look at that.
