    another option is a fast fix applelby box in the ceiling cut in plasterboard and connection made within the box and a blank plate screwed over the top of the joint on the box, the joint is accessible but also discreet job done and compliant

    I think your power goes l n from ccu to light then the switch drop is l and sl (switch live to turn on light from switch) if you wired the way you have it connected as per diagram then turning switch on would trip the circuit breaker or fuse out as a direct short across the l and n would.     I use rcbos from fusebox ams havent had any problems I generally wont install dual rcd now at all

    You have an rcd I would. Ask. An electrician to test it with a rcd tester for checking functionality but if the rcd functions fully then no need for an rcd outdoor socket as it is covered by consumer unit already

    How ever the cable runs to the outside socket it must be rcd protected on the socket at least under regs as its a special location outside
