    pme with earth rod

then as we've gone to TT off the back of the pme we just give our self a 0.2 sec disconnection time to meet lol
  3. Duane B

    pme with earth rod

but for a property on a pme for outbuildings supply summer house etc etc we wouldn't need step voltage calcs would we. or be concerned about overlap when the rod was installed.

    pme with earth rod

simply bang it in carry out Ze "Ra" make sure under 200 ohms done.  no need to worry about being in another overlapped earth zone ????????? well surely they could mean the same, unless an extension on the house with 2nd db is extending and up the garden is exporting

    pme with earth rod

Hi Guys Ok so DNO law says no no no on export of the pme earth. so mr customer wants a supply to garden buildings etc . so swa is used earth connected at supply end to protect the cable, insulated at other end so 100% guarantee no earth present, just a Line & Neutral feed. ok so install...

    TT system & Hottub

I see the acti9 are dp rcbo but could only see them in c type , looks like I've caused a right old debate and I've only just joined lol oh my dayz baby. Ha ha very good luv this place already. So what are we saying we would need a double pole rcbo on high integrity circuit for the circuit to...

    TT system & Hottub

the rcbo is single pole device on own, so what if that was replaced with an mcb on the normal side protected by the split load rcd as this would be then DP plus an upfront 100mA jobbie
  10. Duane B

    TT system & Hottub

I was understood to believe that 100mA are fitted to give time for the 30mA devices to operate on A TT system
  11. Duane B

    TT system & Hottub

so if the rcbo wasn't double pole were in fact leaving a neutral intact on the circuit. ????  but if a main s type were there double pole would it comply
  12. Duane B

    TT system & Hottub

not done TT so off top of my head,  earth rod is classed as unstable over 200 ohms or near 200 ohms and depending if it was wet day on test so by fitting a 30mA rcd that gives additional protection and allows us to abuse the Level up 1667 ohms 100mA Time delay units are 500 ohms due to touch...

    Hello

hi and welcome newb welcoming a newb lol happy dayz
  14. Duane B

    TT system & Hottub

isn't it safer if TT systems have a time delayed unit at the front end, aswell as the 30mA protecting the circuit are we at 1 sec disconnection times,  then as we have both do we limit to 500ohms or still at 1667. ?????
  15. Duane B

    TT system & Hottub

Seen at a hot tub install on a tt system.  Already installed.  10mm swa straight from c/u off rcbo off a high integrity circuit c/u was a split load wylex jobbie.  Noticed no 100A 100ma s type main switch at front end. Just a 100A double pole switch off TT feed in. No local rod at tub. So all...

Hi Guys I'm in the market for a new test instrument, however I have noticed that on the normal auction sites there seems to be loads of megger 1730s etc for sale but you never seem to find fluke 16xx for sale as often. Have megger got it sorted now with the right firmware for the job as im...
