     Again I did suggest using a less powerful shower but this was the main reason the customer had a new bathroom installed by B&Q in the first place and they would like to keep new shower , so can't really do much,however if i can't get a mcb they may have to otherwise its board change time

    I did suggest that but they have said that they waited over 12 weeks for the bathroom to be installed by them they don't want to wait any longer.   Tried denmans  locally but none in stock and no offer to get me one

    Yes for for a shower, b&q have been out and fitted a 10.5kw shower on 32amp mcb which now keeps tripping and used 6mm cable so now customer wants me to correct there mistake

A few fire alarm companies local to me I see regular pictures of there engineers etc installing emergency lighting ,fire alarm isolation switches for fire alarm panels, mains interlinked detectors etc and I wondered how they legally do this...

    That's not correct, because a 5ww would open the board and carry on with work. These people realise there not qualified so don't mess with it. Although I believe there supposed to then assume the boards do contain asbestos and label accordingly

    Unfortunately people who carry out the checks for asbestos in most places will not open up fuseboards to check as are not qualified to do so as is the case with this board on This job this morning .

    I have this problem this morning on a call out now and 2 blown fuses and a contactor with burnt cables. Customer not allowing me to put fuses back in as asbestos flash pads in board. Were removed by there maintenance man early this morning

    when my customer spoke to them they said suitably trained in this small amount and type of asbestos is being able to indentify type of asbestos and what needs to be done such as shadow vacuuming /sheet of area and correct ppe to be worn. No mention of removal course . Which is why I'm confused...

    The risk assessment was put together using the guidelines set out by HSE and HSE guidelines for removing fuses with asbestos in and company have contacted them and they have said as long as guidelines followed then removal course not required. But I have nothing in writing so trying to cover myself

    Can you provide a link to where I can do this for that fee? As local to me is 5k I have done this with a company called abastra in the past and all they do is get me to isolate supply and cut cables and pry of wall with a long bar . 30 mins work and £380 fee
