Turn light automatically on through vibration sensor

Could do it for less than 100 quid.

    Swapping an MCB

VSDs need to charge their DC bus capacitors and as such have a large inrush current when the VSD is first powered up.

    Its taunting you!

No need to apologise, if i could go back to being 21 - 25 years old clambering over heavy machinery like I did. I would do it in a heartbeat!

Fun is pushing it! Haha.  Oh the nights I spent up on the quarries OH cranes fault finding.  I think those particular sets may still be in use, one gantry had them changed to modern VFD control, not sure about the other set.

    AVG anti track

I use express VPN.  Costs $50 per year, easy to use, never had any issues. An I can install as an "app" on chrome to it propagates across all of the devices I use chrome on.

I'm not envious of people who still have to fault find on such installations.

    Any ideas?

Is the black goo part of a melted dial, or is it the internals of the disk that have melted out? Any pictures of the other side?  My guess is a sensor of some type.

18th edition course for designers???? Not standard regs

I think the C&G 2396 is something to look into.

    So, HS2

However, after reading this, it looks like they switched them back on! https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-lancashire-45497924

    So, HS2

There was a bus lane in Preston similar. Enough people complained that they removed the camera.

    So, HS2

Just to put the spending into context I did some quick math.  Population of the entire UK is 66 million, I rounded up to 70 million.  The overspending, not including the original amount tendered of 30 billion.  Equates to everyone of these  70 million people  paying 430 quid each for the...

What can I use to replace 20A DP switch outside bathroom

You only need the 3mm gap for isolation, not for functional switching.

    So, HS2

It's not their money, that's why they don't care.  If it were to come, noticeably (I know their tax contributions are indirectly funding it), from their own pocket, it would be a different story.

What can I use to replace 20A DP switch outside bathroom

Well looking at the existing wiring you've 2 circuits there.  Does it switch anything else on aside from the lamps at the same time? Extractor fan, de mist on mirror etc...

Voltage on earth ar cu when earth disconnected from earth bar and mcb on

Thing is, this isn't likely now that we have had further information a floating neutral. (Although was my first thought with the limited original information provided). It's likely earth leakage from a device being powered by the circuit.  Most electricians wouldn't notice this, as they would...

Voltage on earth ar cu when earth disconnected from earth bar and mcb on

If you got an actual spark, this is suggesting a more sinister fault.  A floating capacitive voltage, shouldn't have enough energy to produce a visible spark.  All other circuit testing ok?  TNCS earthing by any chance?

Voltage on earth ar cu when earth disconnected from earth bar and mcb on

As said, most probably capacitive coupling.  Even more likely if you're using a digital meter.  Was there a reason you were doing this? Sheer curiosity or, finding a fault?

Voltage on earth ar cu when earth disconnected from earth bar and mcb on

Firstly, it is extremely dangerous to be disconnecting a circuits CPC with it still energized. Are you measuring with a digital multi meter by any chance?

Wheres the best place to advertise?

Print out some business cards an post through doors.  Facebook seems to be quite possible. Word of mouth is the best advertising.
