    New RCD tripping

RCDs should be tested without any load as the load may interfere with the test current from the meter. Isolate and remove the conductors (L+N) from the load side of the RCD, then energise and test using your probes on the output terminal clamp screws of the RCD. Due to the design of modern...

Mandatory EICR all done by the 31st March 2021

400 satisfactory by March? Done properly, no...  🤣 But I bet they'll get them from somewhere.

And quite possibly a cold two years... 🤣

Is the Ib total load or load per phase?

    Train sets .

Do they still use braided steel contacts on the track?

    Train sets .

For several months my missus would have a fresh coffee ready for me when I walked through the door, the ignition system on my Armstrong MT500 would mess up the TV signal roughly 1/4 mile from our house much to the disgust of everyone on the estate... 🤣

Careful who you make redundant .

My old employer was bought out, I was the QS and also an auditor. They moved me across under TUPE then realised they didn't have a QS and the NIC weren't happy. I had to reapply for my old job and jump through the hoops of numerous interviews before being told I had been successful and would be...

    MCB tripping Amptec C1200

With temperature correction for that type of cable you'd be looking at 16mm even on a 50 amp MCB. As the circuit is right on the rating of the MCB it's probably become 'tired' over time and will need replacing. Double check with the manufacturers but I would look at swapping for 63 amp MCB and...

    Cable calculation

I missed that bit, 120mm it is then... 🤣

    Fitting a new consumer unit

Have you done a site visit yet? Done any basic testing to check Ze? Presence and condition of any bonding and earthing arrangements? Why would a 40 year old installation require a rewire?

    Cable calculation

35mm is only good for 98 amps buried direct for three phase.

    Cable calculation

Using 50mm CSA 70c SWA I get VD of 3.6 using the resistive load column. R1+R2 of 0.034 ohms giving Ze of 0.114. PFC 4.95Ka. Adiabatic has 1.06mm for copper and 2.40mm for steel armour for a 5 second disconnection time.

    RCD tripping when whet wether

A dangerous thing to do, you need to find the cause of the problem not just fit a higher rated device hoping the problem will go away. It sounds like you have water ingress somewhere. Has any testing been carried out or even a visual inspection?

    Cable calculation

Load? Earthing arrangement? PFC? Ze/Ra? Distribution or final circuit? Any lighting? Installation method?

    DeWalt cordless drill

Warranty will run from date of purchase. I am also a self confessed Dewalt *****, just got an impact driver from Screwfix 50% off, not that I need it... And as per @kerching the heat gun is awesome for heat shrink, I use mine daily.

Voltage drop off on 200m cable.

Without knowing the load, number of phases, etc then impossible to advise from here. I'm guessing there's also lighting involved which makes things a little more difficult. For any sort of decent load requirements you'd be looking around the 50mm CSA area for a supply cable.

2 radial circuits tripping when anything is plugged into one circuit

It's very difficult to diagnose from afar, you will need to engage a local electrician to carry out some basic testing. But, if you fully isolate the circuits and carry out the safe isolation process there's nothing to stop you from visually checking for loose cable at the sockets etc. Only...

2 radial circuits tripping when anything is plugged into one circuit

When did this fault occur? After the board change, after the skirting boards were fixed or more recently?

TBH gearing down would probably be easier and cheaper.
