    Help needed Timelag circuit LED

Sounds like you need Danlers Capload poss 1x per D/L. Also Note:- If someone presses one switch and someone else switches another or the same within 30 seconds of it going off the relay can stick...resulting in lights permanently on !! but there is a fix for that via powering down.

    Suggestions please!

Customer can refuse SPD no problem..... you could Glue a small magnet on the CU flap if you did rotate the CU 90degs. I did fit one hager 90 deg's due to space and the lid closed !! You could fit it slightly proud of the wall at the bottom....worked for me.

Is a 17th Edition metal consumer unit still legal to fit?

......I do think its gone silly .......typically not thinking it through. I am with Andy1733 on this one... your CU is not a problem....If it is installed tested incl RCD tests. If people are that worried about a freak domestic RCD blinding incident with regard to DC leakage then press the...

Is a 17th Edition metal consumer unit still legal to fit?

Good question... No hard hat required.(or type testing)....unless your singing (YMCA)......it is all here https://electrical.theiet.org/wiring-matters/years/2022/91-july-2022/changes-to-rcd-testing-in-bs-76712018plusa22022/

Is a 17th Edition metal consumer unit still legal to fit?

KT64 has some RCD A tests for many years...!!! ..................as already mentioned.... you are fine with a 17th ed board...you can always upgrade RCDs to type A later... if needed. I think the main 17/18th "issue" was the dual RCD total ratings should have enough head room to take the load...

Help with rent storage heaters please

Well....agreed... -Lot20 or outside the regs.... There are too many heaters let down by difficult programmers. Hence I avoid these, however the Dimplex/Newlec/Creda and some others are user friendly. The new stg heaters do hold the heat better then blow it out when needed.

    It had to happen!

Just a thought... Is it not the western world who purchase many products made in China, India et all. Indirectly fueling global warming. Along with objects of western designed obsolescence and stuff we dont really need. I mean I am no saint.... I have at least 15 underpants, 40+ pairs of socks...

KSR Lighting! NEVER AGAIN AND I WOULD ADVISE OTHERS NEVER TO WASTE THEIR MONEY

Good info Guys....thanks... I shall take a look at Fitz too. We should not be installing SPDs to solve a problem with new technology/products. The real issue, seen repeatedly, is that these products are not fit for purpose where the old stuff worked perfectly. If the electronics are too...

KSR Lighting! NEVER AGAIN AND I WOULD ADVISE OTHERS NEVER TO WASTE THEIR MONEY

KSR Lighting! NEVER AGAIN AND I WOULD ADVISE OTHERS NEVER TO WASTE THEIR MONEY

KSR were good to me initially. They, or any other, will not pay for your lost time which does not instill confidence in the product itself.. A customer had 12x KSRFRD integrated D/L the odd one failing just after 3 yrs (fitted by someone else). They supplied a replacement free of charge when I...

    RCD Question

Belated response I know.... I agree BorisJ......531.3.2 "the following shall be considered: etc etc" I cannot find anywhere that states dual RCDs in a consumer unit are not compliant or that RCBOs are the only solution. In this regard to the OP, One RCD is not ideal but perfectly okay to add a...

What Mcbs will fit a Reco db

So here's the thing.... it would be wiser to find a better quality RCBO (that fits). Over time, with RCBO replacements, the heart of the CSU would gradually gain robustness and longevity, less waste, spreading the cost of upgrades for your customers. Once locals know of someone with a...

    SMETS help needed please

Some energy suppliers have been swapping out E10 meters replacing with E7 stating E10 is not an option/available anymore. A relative was given a one off payment of £80 a number of years ago after her bills went up after smart meter install. They did not tell her it was now an E7 only tarrif.
