They are in the wall, but if conduit in this terminology is that metal strip, that is under the plaster. Thanks again, i won't do anything silly, was just hoping to get it done quick...- PoDd

Hello - Newbie with 2 Gang socket replacement query :)
Hello all, Please be gentle.... first post. I have pics but can upload them? I want to swap a 2 gang dimmer for a 2 gang sonoff wifi switch, but dont know where the wires should go. The existing has a grey wire with brown tape going in to gang 1 L1. a brown wire into gang 1 (cross symbol?)...- PoDd
