    Pvc Conduit

I can answer question 3 for you lol Check your onsite guide (appendix E) The way it works is each cable size has a factor, solid and stranded cables have different factors so make sure you choose the right one. Each conduit size has a maximum capacity factor and as long as you don't exceed...

    Maximum Demand Question

I think your pointing me towards if one boat develops an earth fault which trips the main rcd then power is lost to the whole board. Where as if each circuit is individually RCD protected then only that circuit will lose power.

    Maximum Demand Question

They won't be connecting any of the yard equipment to it as the welders are in a different location (closer to the boats) as is a compressor and 110v supplies for temp lighting etc. I'm currently looking into mobile or transportable units lol However while I'm on the subject, what's the...

    Maximum Demand Question

I have selected a 25mm 4 core swa which at 100A gives a volt drop of about 1.9% and the volt drop to the sockets will be next to nothing, they are a meter at most away from the board, once it's done I'll take a photo haha it's Friday's job, and yes I'm going to assume since these boats have 63A...

No its a boatyard for fishing boats and work boats, and they can't run their generators as they are out the water on a slipping carriage, so no water to cool the gen set.

    Maximum Demand Question

2 boats at a time and by varied means I meant some have 230v inlets som have 3ph 4 pin etc. So a selection of different outlets is needed And as for loading it's very tricky, for example, we have a wind farm boat that comes up, uses the 63A 5 pin but only draws maybe 14-15 amps per phase...

    Deviating From Bs7671

On the topic of SY cable, I was once informed that SY cable does not conform to a BS standard only an EN standard so is that maybe why current ratings are not available in 7671? It is also to my understanding that the steel braid in SY cable offers very little mechanical protection and only...
