Anyone know of an iphone app that will let me monitor my Pylontech batteries? I'd like to remotely check the level of charge, which I can see on the Solis inverter display, but that info is not available on the Solis Home app. There is a Pylontech Home app, but I can't find any user reviews...

I've been using Friedland Spectra (aka MK/Honeywell) wireless PIRs to switch driveway lights. Very convenient as they have a battery powered PIR transmitter that can be sited where you like. Problem is that they all stop working after about 3 years and replacements seem to be unavailable now...

I made the mistake of installing a LAP branded dual RCD consumer unit from Screwfix 3 years ago. Now I need a 20 amp mcb to go in it, and surprise surprise, they no longer stock them.  Their customer support was predictably useless, so I'm looking for another brand of mcb that fits. Can anyone recommend a brand of security lights with PIR that lasts more than 6 months? Not impressed with any of the cheap tat, but Steinel, which look good, are hugely expensive. S'pose you get what you pay for, but maybe there's something reliable on the market at a reasonable price?

What's your favouirite brand of ELV downlighter? I've got to replace a batch of IBLs that I fitted a few months back, all have fried the wires & lampholder. Not very impressed with any of the fire-rated ones I've seen - they all seem to run very hot 'cos they're fully enclosed of course...
