    Builders....is it just me ????

I haven't done work for builders for many years, I found it was just not worth the hassle. They would ring me & say, we need you on that job tomorrow, the one we talked about a while back. I said, its news to me. Meant I had to rearrange my planned work. Another time a loft...

    3+E colours information

No, I indicated on my other post grey for blue & black remains black on smokes. I thought the interlink wire to smokes is a low voltage trigger so it cant be a live or a neutral, might be wrong.

    3+E colours information

from memory if single phase, the use of colours is dependant on what it is being used for. If 2way strappers, all cores are sleaved brown. If used as swa, grey becomes blue & black becomes earth & smoke alarms as colours mentioned as above. This is the recommendations for NICEIC...

    crabtree consumer unit

I have been told by Crabtree that type B will be some time yet, think there having problems, I agree, bit of a pain. Why not use the high integrity crabtree c/u with 2 rcds, problem if you need them for the non protected ways, will mean going back on job when they are available.

I had one of the heavier ones 3.4 kw fall over once when I was trying to move it. Had to call the ladys son to give me a hand to push it up again. Why do you quiry the fibre wall plugs ext, its what there supposed to be for storage heaters. You never should use plastic plugs for storage...

    Free Sat

Once at school 50 years ago in the science class I had to show the class how to make a crystal set, well into that sort of thing then, sending morse code (well sort of) over the air waves for my mate to pick up. My dad made a radio ham transmitter 6ft high,2 ft deep & 2ft wide, how times...

    Free Sat

It seems that Freesat can be distributed to a number of points as long as there is a Freesat box connected to each one, well thats what the Fresat site says if its put in by the installer. Freesat TVs available later this year, what a pain as we've just got 2 new TVs with Freeview in the last...

    Year 3..

I have a slightly different approach about getting money in & have used it for 30 years & it works well. 28 days, as price, 2.5% discount for payment within 10 days & 5% discount for payment within 2 days, it goes without saying that I get paid in full for a rewire by return of...
