Wonderful stuff it is! I dip wire ends in it before I put crimps on, I dip crimps in it before I push them together, I even dip stripped wire ends in it before I put bootlace ferrules on. I smear inside limit switches over the screw terminals. I dip coax in it before I screw F plugs on etc...

Evening, My vintage LC-42XD1EA Sharp TV has given up the ghost. Must be coming up 20 years old! First it developed a horizontal line (row of missing pixels?), now this: Not even taken the back off yet to look for any obvious blown caps etc. Anything to look for? Cheers

Felt best to post this here. I'm not sure, ran it by 3 sparks at works who all had a stab but weren't sure so here it is: Declared single phase supply voltage can be 230V -6/+_10% so 216.6V at the lower end. Appendix F of the OSG says permissable drop is 3% for lighting & 5% for other uses...

@binky, evening. Mate has just been touted by a company called Solaredge. He already has 8 PV panels and a Sunny Boy inverter.  This bloke wants to sell him 8 optimizers and a new Solaredge inverter for £4K.  This on the basis his old inverter is only 85% efficient and the new Solaredge one 95%...
