    recently qualified electricain advice

I've been qualified for 2 years now. Gold carded all that stuff. I've been trading as a sole trader for the same amount of time. And I wouldn't look back now.  I was sh#tting it when I first took the plunge. The thought of invoices, tax, customers, not to mention that I am now completley...

What's the thoughts of a fully competant Electrician when he/she is told they are getting an apprentice?

Thanks for all the advice, much appreciated! Then again, I know that I'm not gonna spend all day ****ing about on my phone, I'm there to learn & work, which I understand. Plus, I know I have a hell of a lot more life experience than any younger lad coming into an apprenticeship. But, I am...

I've just got onto an apprenticeship at 23. Was offered a couple of others aswell, but took the one with (what seemed to me) the best experience I could get, also I beat a couple of lads who had 1 or 2 years apprenticeship experience compared my lack of! Just been keen and actually be...

    Savage Newbie

Cheers, I plan to. Speaking of appearance, bone as it may sound, what do I wear on my first day? I understand it's no fashion parade, yet I don't want to turn up looking like I'm a seasoned sparky with all the gear and no idea.

    Savage Newbie

Evening all, New to the forum (obviously), I'm a 23 year old lad serving my final week in the British Army. Got myself an industrial apprenticeship involving the fitting of variable speed drives. Completely new to me, but I'd like to think I've got a decent graft in me and that my heads...
