Guys, thank you for your advice. The shower is not working and my instincts tell me that it must be the switch. I have arranged for a visit by a highly recommended electrician first thing tomorrow.

Hi Technician, thank you for your reply to my post; it is flush mounted (as per a three pin socket) with no discernable slackness when I flick the switch to the on position i.e. It has spring, but no light to show the power is on.
...isn't working. No light on, and no blown fuse on the consumer unit. Switch (which is in the hallway outside the bathroom) was working yesterday. Am i correct in assuming that the switch has failed - after 13 years. Should i try to get a qualified electrician to investigate further?
